Before economy becomes as a recorded science, even a long time later, economy was associated with moral teachings by the excuse of separation of science from these values. In this course, capitalism theoreticians introduced free flow of economy as the best mechanism to provide public interest. But when some cases of market failures occurred, they considered government interference to be the compensating factor. Yet some other theoreticians considered it the best way to return to moral values. However Islam, since its advent, has emphasized on the necessity of human's purification from inside. In this article, we briefly explain the relationship between morals and west economy and then study and explore the main ideological foundation of Islamic economic morals with regard to the Quran's teachings. To look at the effects resulted from these teachings, we find that besides promoting human spiritual development, they create harmony between personal motives and public interests in the lowest cost and best way and cause different countries and nations which hold onto Islamic moral values achieve a healthy and sustainable economic development and all their economic objectives be achieved.

Key words: morals, economy, Quran, economic morals, Islam.
